The Perm Military Institute of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was organized on the basis of the 489 training regiment of the 84th convoy division of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR on the basis of Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated October 26, 1981 No. 1033-309 and order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the USSR dated November 7, 1981 No. 0476, having the status "Higher Military Command School of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR."

In order to implement the Decree of the Government of Russia of May 17, 1996 No. 589, according to the Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia of June 19, 1996 No. 376, the school was transformed into the Perm Military Institute of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Training of officers with higher vocational education for internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is carried out at five faculties: technical support, artillery weapons, automated control systems, canine training and logistics department.

Perm Military Institute is the only military educational institution internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, training officers - specialists with higher professional education in 6 specialties with the assignment of qualifications - “specialist” and “bachelor”.

The Military Institute has:

Highly qualified team and teaching staff with extensive teaching experience and practical experience in the military. The institute employs 20 doctors of science and (or) professors; 82 candidates of sciences and (or) associate professors; 43 people from among teaching staff are studying in an adjunct program;

A modern sports complex with a swimming pool, a club, a bath and laundry facility, art and special libraries;

The Institute has lecture halls, specialized classes, educational campuses, training and production laboratories, a tank track, an autodrome, a guard dog camp, The educational center with a military shooting range, allowing you to successfully master the curriculum.

Over the years of the existence of the Perm Military Institute, 6299 officers have been trained for the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, of which 944 graduates received diplomas with honors and 65 people graduated from the military institute with a gold medal and a diploma with honors.

At our institute, in addition to studying special disciplines cadets are trained to master all types of small arms, hand-to-hand combat and self-defense techniques, and drive military equipment and vehicles. During the training process, in the fourth year, cadets who successfully pass the exam receive a driver’s license of categories “B” and “C”.

During the entire period of training, cadets are fully supported by the state.

In accordance with curriculum, cadets are annually granted a summer vacation of 30 days and a winter vacation of 15 days.

The Faculty of Technical Support trains military specialists in the field of training "Vehicles special purpose", specializing in "Military tracked and wheeled vehicles".

Currently, the Faculty of Artillery Weapons trains military specialists in the following areas of training:

  • GOST 170100 (second generation) "Weapons and weapon systems" in the specialty - 170101.65 "Testing and operation of equipment (artillery weapons)" with the qualification of engineer;
  • GOST 170400 (third generation) “Small arms, artillery and missile weapons” in specialization 12 “Operation of weapons and military equipment (by area and type)” with specialist qualification.

These Admission Rules were developed on the basis of the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated October 14, 2015. No. 1147 Moscow “On approval of the Procedure for admission to training in educational programs higher education- bachelor’s degree programs, specialty programs, master’s programs”, Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation dated February 15, 2005. No. 93/48 Moscow “On approval of the Instruction on the conditions and procedure for admission to military educational institutions of higher professional education of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which provide for the training of personnel for internal troops, and to military educational institutions of higher professional education of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Russian Federation", as well as taking into account the regulatory legal requirements of the Main Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The admission rules establish the requirements for candidates, determine the procedure for admitting citizens entering the Federal State Treasury Military educational institution higher professional education "Perm Military Institute of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation." Changes and additions to the Admission Rules are considered at a meeting of the academic council and approved by the head of the military institute.

Education, received in the postgraduate course by students (adjuncts) is the third level of higher education - training of highly qualified personnel according to programs for training scientific and pedagogical personnel in the postgraduate course.
