Задание С3 - примерный вариант текста для чтения:

• As soon as spring brings a new growth of bushes and berries, bears start feeding. They eat and eat. All through the spring and summer their feeding goes on. The bears build themselves up. They store food and fats that they will need in the fall when they start their long sleep.
• As days grow shorter, and the temperature begins to fall, bears hunt for a sleeping place. It may be a shallow cave, or a deep crack between rocks. Some bears end up sleeping in hollow logs. Logs seem to be bears’ favourite places. Bears seem to choose small spaces. They can keep warmer in a cave that’s just large enough to hold them than in a larger cave. They often line their sleeping place with leaves and dried grass.

All through their winter naps, bears will not eat. Often they will sleep for 7 months, moving only now and then.

I would like to describe & compare these 2 pictures. Well, our life has changed dramatically in the recent years. Nowadays people interfere in the wonderful world of nature more & more often. They destroy natural habitat of animals by cutting down forests, building & farming. That’s why the problem of keeping animals in zoos instead of letting them live in the wild is very acute. Well, both pictures show an animal, the bear. I would like to start with the first picture that shows a big polar bear in the zoo. The bear is sitting on a stone with its paws up. It is not looking at people, it seems that it is tired of so much attention. A lot of people have gathered near the open-air cage, taking pictures. As the people are wearing warm coats and caps, it is probably late autumn. The colours in this picture are grey and dark.

As for the second picture, it also shows a bear, but it is the brown bear. It is completely different from the first one as it shows the bear in the wild. In contrast to the first picture, the second one is full of bright colours: yellow flowers, green grass. It shows a summer day. The bear is busy, it is carrying a log. I like this picture more and not only because I like summer but also because I believe that keeping wild animals in the zoo is inhuman. Some people say that it is necessary for some educational purposes, to say nothing of entertainment.

All in all, both these pictures make me think of the wildlife. And I am sure that wild animals should live free in their natural habitat because they are part of nature.

Наконец-то я созрела для написания этого поста. Вопрос актуальный и многие читатели меня спрашивали, буду ли я писать подобный пост, как и с .

В общем, сегодня я познакомлю вас с моим видением задания №4 из устной части ЕГЭ — сравнение картинок. Если у вас будут замечания, пишите в комментарии, вместе обсудим.

Сразу скажу, что шаблон ниже, в основном, рассчитан на детей с невысоким уровнем английского, но которых тоже надо готовить к ЕГЭ, поэтому строго не судите!

Просмотрев многие издания, где рассказывается об устной части, я решила составить свой шаблон, используя фразы и клише из разных книг. Я думаю, так многие учителя делают-подбирают что-то среднее, удобное для запоминания!

Итак, возьмём в качестве образца следующее задание.

Любой свой рассказ надо начинать с небольшого вступления.

Вступление

These (Here) are two photos. They are connected with the topic (sport, party, food, family, travelling, weather)

I am going to compare and contrast these two photos (pictures).

Краткое описание фото (не более 2-х фраз на каждую картинку, кто изображен, что делают и где находятся. Использовать Present Continuous)

Ну, а теперь приступим непосредственно к сравнению фотографий, используя наши шаблонные фразы и клише.

These are two photos. They show people playing football in different places. I am going to compare and contrast these two photos.

In the first photo we can see a boy and a girl. They are playing table football in a recreation area. The second one depicts a group of young people. They are playing football on a football pitch.

These two photos have a lot in common. The main similarity between these two photos is the desire to win. Another similarity is the feelings and emotions of players. They are very excited and concentrated.

However, these photos have some differences. Firstly, the photos were taken indoor and outdoor. The second difference is the clothes they are wearing. In the photo on the right the football players have a special uniform. Thirdly, it is the numbers of players.

As for me, I would prefer to play table football because I am keen on this game very much. I think it"s very exciting and I recommend everyone to play it. I"m not a big fan of football. Moreover, it"s hard to run over 90 minutes, especially when it"s cold outside.

I hope I have managed to compare and contrast these photos.

На этой странице подробно описана устная часть егэ по английскому языку 2016 года, объяснена система ее оценки и даны практические рекомендации по подготовке и успешному прохождению данного испытания.

С 2016 года обязательным компонентом егэ по английскому языку стала устная часть, или говорение. Оно представляет набор из четырех заданий: 1) прочтение текста, 2) постановка нескольких прямых вопросов, 3) описание одной картинки, 3) сравнение двух картинок. Далее мы подробно рассмотрим каждый вид задания.

Задание 1. Прочтение текста.

Task 1. Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.

Таким образом, по легенде, вы вместе с другом готовите проект. Вы нашли интересный материал для презентации и хотите зачитать его вашему товарищу. Для подготовке к прочтению у вас будет полторы минуты, после чего у вас будет еще полторы минуты для самого прочтения.

Демоверсия 2016 года предлагает нам следующий текст:

The mystery of why trees don’t stop growing is still unsolved. Human beings usually stop growing sometime during their teens. Many animals reach full growth within a year. Others are fully grown in just a few years. Birds and insects also stop growing at a certain age. But trees keep growing as long as they live. Trees live, grow, and reproduce themselves by an amazing process. The thousands of leaves put forth by the tree breathe for it and manufacture its food. Its root system gathers minerals and vast quantities of water. To carry this water to the leaves, the tree is equipped with an intricate circulation system that extends upward from the millions of root hairs through the trunk and branches. The trunk holds the leaves up to the sunlight, sends them water from the roots, and gets food back from them. Then seeds are borne in flowers or cones.

Это задание может принести вам 1 балл. Однако, имея отношение к проверке работ егэ, мы можем компетентно сказать, что подавляющее большинство учащихся заваливает это задание. Слишком уж оно трудно для сдающих экзамен.

Чтобы получить один заветный балл, вам можно допустить две грубые ошибки. Грубая ошибка – это когда написано одно слово, а вы его читаете так, что получается другое. Например, написано слово as [эз] – “когда”, “как”, а вы читаете его как [эс] – “осел”! Оглушение конечного звонкого согласного – это типичная ошибка большинства сдающих егэ по английскому языку, которая часто их и подводит.

Давайте пробежимся по предложенному тексту и найдем места, где можно допустить грубые ошибки.

1. growing: экзаменуемый может прочитать не [гроу…], а [грау…] 2. sometime: экзаменуемый может по привычке добавить -s и прочитать [самтаймз], а не [самтайм] 3. insect: вероятно смещение ударения с первого слова на второй
4. certain: почему-то многие читают [кётэн], а не [сётэн] 5. live (жить): часто по ошибке читают [лайв], а не [лив] 6. process (процесс): часто ударение смещают на второй слог, по аналогии с русским языком
7. through: это вообще камень преткновения у многих экзаменуемых, которые коверкают его как угодно

Список “опасных” место в этом тексте можно, разумеется, еще расширить, но наша задача не в этом. Мы хотим лишь сказать, что таких мест предостаточно, чтобы не раз и не два допустить грубую ошибку. Если грубых ошибок три, то уже балл не засчитывается.

От грубой ошибки следует отличать фонетический недочет. Фонетический недочет – это ошибка, не искажающая смысл слова. Например, в этом тексте имеется слово human, которое правильно читается [хьюмэн], однако многие читают его [хумэн]. На слух в общем-то все равно понять это слово можно, и вряд ли оно спутается с каким-нибудь другим словом, поэтому такая ошибка будет считаться лишь фонетическим недочетом.

Об интонации. Самое главное – не перепутать интонацию утвердительного предложения с восклицательной или вопросительной. В остальном эксперты, оценивающие это задание, смотрят на интонацию весьма лояльно.

1) Вообще решите, стоит ли тратить свое время, чтобы вообще готовиться к первому заданию, ведь оно дает всего лишь один балл, и вероятность получить этот самый балл очень невелика.

2) Найдите тексты примерно такого же объема (это могут быт отрывки любых текстов) и тренируйтесь на время. Для прочтения текста на экзамене вам отведено полторы минуты. Во время тренировок уменьшите это время.

3) Записывайте себя на аудио. Слушать себя со стороны полезно, так как мы звучим не совсем так, как нам кажется.

4) Придя на экзамен и увидев текст, не пытайтесь углубляться в его смысл. Понимание текста не является задачей данного упражнения.

5) Если вы допустили ошибку в чтении слова и поймали себя на этой ошибке, то не бойтесь сразу же прочесть слово заново. Учитывается последний произнесенный вами вариант.

6) Читайте текст четко и умеренно громко, чтобы эксперт, проверяющий задание, слышал отчетливо слышал каждое слово. Невнятно произнесенное слово – вам могут засчитать ошибку, так как эксперт, вообще-то, не должен догадываться, что вы там имели в виду.

Задание 2. Прямые вопросы.

Со второго задания начинается работа с картинками. В демоверсии 2016 года предлагается следующая картинка:

Task 2. Study the advertisement.

You are considering starting breakdance lessons and now you’d like to get more information. In 1.5 minutes you are to ask five direct questions to find out about the following:

1) tuition fee
2) course location
3) duration of the course
4) special clothes
5) evening classes

You have 20 seconds to ask each question.

Таким образом, по легенде, вы собираетесь записаться в школу брейкданса. Но у вас есть вопросы, которые вы хотели бы выяснить. Для подготовки в вашем распоряжении полторы минуты. Затем дается по 20 секунд на каждый вопрос.

Первый вопрос должен касаться платы за обучение (tuition fee), второй – местоположение школы (course location), третий – длительности обучения (duration of the course), четвертый – спецодежды (special clothes), пятый – возможности занятий по вечерам (evening classes).

Самое главное, что вы должны понять – что такое прямой вопрос. Поясним на примерах:

How much does the tuition cost?
Where is the course located?
How long will the course last?
Do I need any special clothes?
Can I visit the class in the evening?

Все вышеприведенные вопросы – прямые! А вот непрямой вопрос:

I’d lke to know how much the tuition costs. – Я бы хотел узнать, сколько стоит обучение.

Подобные вопросы не засчитываются. Также не засчитывается вопрос, начинающийся с What about… и How about …

Каждый вопрос оценивается в один балл. Пять вопросов – пять баллов. Но чтобы их получить, надо задать именно прямые вопросы (а не косвенные) и не допустить грубых ошибок в выборе слов и произношении.

1) Найдите в интернете упражнения на вопросительные предложения и хорошо их проработайте.
2) Забудьте о What about… и How about …
3) Не мудрствуйте! Задавайте простые вопросы без “наворотов”

Задание 3. Описание одной картинки.

В третьем задании вам на выбор даются три картинки. В демоверсии 2016 года предложены следующие:

Task 3. Imagine that these are photos from your photo album. Choose one photo to present to your friend.

You will have to start speaking in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about:

Where and when the photo was taken
what/who is in the photo
what is happening
why you keep the photo in your album
why you decided to show the picture to your friend

You have to talk continuously, starting with: “I’ve chosen photo number… “

По легенде, к вам приходит друг, которому вы показываете свой фотоальбом. Вы выбираете из альбома одну фотографию и начинаете рассказ о ней по определенному плану.

Сразу ориентируем вас на объем высказывания – 12-15 предложений. Т.е. примерно по два предложения на каждый пункт плана и по два предложения на вступление и заключение.

Давайте посмотрим, как может сложиться ваше высказывание на примере первой картинки (Photo 1).

Вы начинаете свой рассказ с фразы: I’ve chosen photo number 1. Эта фраза не является вступлением и не входит в зачет объема высказывания.

Вот введение: To start with, I’d like to say that I have a friend. His name is Steve. He lives abroad and sometimes visits Russia with his family.

Далее вы приступаете к пунктам плана. Первый пункт – where and when the photo was taken, т.е. где и когда было сделано фото. Вы можете сказать: I took this photo in my flat when Steve visited me last month. Frankly speaking, his visit was so unexpected. But I was over-excited to meet him at my place.

Второй пункт – what/who is in the photo, т.е. кто/что на фото. Вы продолжаете рассказ: You can see Steve and his wife in the photo. Their daughter wanted to be photographed, too.

Третий пункт – what is happening, т.е. что именно происходит на картинке. Вы говорите: The family are sitting on the sofa, smiling and showing love for each other. They are really happy.

Третий пункт – why you keep the photo in your album, т.е. почему вы храните эту фотографию в своем альбоме. Ваш ответ: I keep the photo in my album to have an opportunity to show this picture to all my guests. In additiion to it, I often look at the photo to recall the nice moments when we were sitting here and talking about our life.

Четвертый пункт – why you decided to show the picture to your friend, т.е. почему вы решили показать эту фотографию своему другу. Вы можете назвать следующую причину: I’m showing the picture to you because you have always wanted to see how Steve looks like.

И заключение: Now you know how my friend looks like. Next time I will show more pictures to you.

Это задание оценивается по трем аспектам: а) решение коммуникативной задачи (содержание), б) организация высказывания и в) языковое оформление высказывания.

Наша задача – по всем аспектам получить максимальный балл. Чтобы получить максимальный балл за содержание (3 балла), нам надо отразить все аспекты и уложиться в объем 12-15 предложений.

Чтобы получить максимальный балл за организацию (2 балла), у нас должно быть вступление и заключение, последовательность в раскрытии пунктов задания, правильные средства логической связи.

Чтобы получить максимальный балл за языковое оформление (2 балла), мы не должны допускать грубых ошибок. Одна грубая ошибка – про два балла забудьте. Также можете не рассчитывать на два балла, если допустили три негрубые лексико-грамматические или фонетические ошибки. По две ошибочки можете сделать, но перебор чреват потерей в оценке.

Сейчас мы расскажем об одном очень важном нюансе, не соблюдение которого полностью загубит любой даже очень хороший ответ. На фото вас нет! Описывая фотографию, учтите, что вас на ней нет, поэтому не допустимо говорить что-то типа “На фото я со своей женой и дочерью”. Вы тот, кто делал фото, а не тот, которого фотографировали. Если вы хотя бы раз упомянете, что на также присутствуете на фото, то весь ваш ответ получит ноль баллов – вы не поняли задание.

1. Выучите клише, которые помогут вам в организации высказывания: To start with, I’d like to say that…, First of all, …, And I’d like to add that… и т.п. Все эти клише являются теми самыми средствами логической связи, которые приветствуются и оцениваются в высказывании.

2. Не забывайте про введение и заключение. Эти части вашего высказывания обязательно должны присутствовать.

3. Заранее напишите и выучите несколько предложений о том, почему вы храните эту фотографию у себя в альбоме, и почему вы решили показать ее другу. Ведь ответы на эти вопросы универсальны и подойдут для любых фотографий.

4. Помните – вас на фото нет!

Задание 4. Сравнение картинок.

В четвертом задании вам нужно сравнить две картинки, следуя опять же определенному плану. В демоверсии 2016 года даны следующие картинки:

You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Ваше высказывание вам необходимо построить по тем же принципам, что и предыдущее, так как четвертое задание оценивается по тем же аспектам и критериям, что и третье. Поэтому позаботьтесь о том, чтобы в вашем рассказе было вступление и заключение, четкое последовательное раскрытие пунктов задания, средства логической связи. И не забываем про объем – 12-15 предложений.

Давайте начнем ответ. Начинаем с введения, которое может быть, например, таким: I have just found two pictures in my album.

Далее переходим к раскрытию первого пункта – give a brief description of the photos (action, location), т.е. краткое описание того, что за событие запечатлено на фото, и где оно происходит. В нашем случае вы можете сделать это вот так: To start with, I’d like to say that you can see my sister Jane on both pictures. She is an active girl and likes doing different kinds of activities. In the first picture she is cooking dinner in the kitchen and in the second picture she is snowboarding outside.

Далее раскрываем второй пункт – say what the pictures have in common, т.е. говорим о том, что общего у картинок. Both pictures have much in common. Firstly, you can’t see anybody else around my sister. She is alone in both photos. Secondly, my sister is smiling in each case, which means that she is doing both actions – cooking and snowboarding – with pleasure.

Переходим к следующему пункту – say in what way the pictures are different, т.е. к различиям. Despite the fact that both pictures have much in common they have a number of differences. The first action takes place inside, but the second one takes place outside. In photo 1 my sister is wearing shorts and a T-shirt; in photo 2 she is dressed in warm clothes.

Далее пункт три – say which of the activities presented in the pictures you’d prefer, т.е. какой вид занятия предпочли бы вы сами. As for me, I’d better go snowboarding. И тут же объясняем – почему, т.е. раскрываем последний пункт: I’m fond of spending free time more actively. And frankly speaking, I’m not good at cooking.

И в заключение: If you’d like to know more about my sister, I will show some more pictures to you next time.

Как мы уже сказали, четвертое задание оценивается так же, как и третье, так что вернитесь немного назад и прочтите информацию о том, что нужно сделать и сколько ошибок можно допустить для получения максимальных баллов.

1. Регулярно проводите упражнение на сравнивание двух картинок между собой по описанной схеме. Чем больше картинок сравните, тем лучше отточите навык.

2. Делайте задание на сравнение письменно. Это не позволит вам торопиться, и ваше высказывание получится более вдумчивым.

3. Учите клише – без них никуда.

Очень хочется написать о том, почему устная часть ЕГЭ не отражает реальных разговорных навыков ученика, но сдержусь. Вместо этого обсудим более актуальные вопросы – из чего состоит говорение на Едином государственном экзамене и как его победить.

На все это отводится 15 минут . За правильное выполнение всех заданий можно получить 20 баллов .

Особенностью этой части экзамена является то, что он сдается на компьютере . Вы приходите в специально оборудованный класс и получаете диск с программой. Запускаете программу на компьютере, надеваете гарнитуру и следуете указаниям на экране. Посмотреть, как это будет выглядеть на экзамене, можно в онлайн тренажерах или . На дисплее вы будете видеть таймер, который поможет самостоятельно отслеживать время ответа.

Если с программой возникают какие-то сложности, вам поможет ассистент, который присутствует в классе. После записи каждого задания ученик сможет прослушать себя. Чтение текста

Задание 1 устной части экзамена представляет собой чтение текста научно-популярной тематики. Легенда гласит, что вы готовитесь к докладу на иностранном языке и репетируете его перед другом.

На подготовку к заданию дают 1.5 минуты, и на чтение текста также отводится 1.5 минуты. Текст небольшой, так что вполне реально уложиться в это время.

Вот пример такого задания:

Критерии оценивания

За задание можно получить всего 1 балл , если “речь воспринимается легко: необоснованные паузы отсутствуют; фразовое ударение и интонационные контуры, произношение слов без нарушений нормы. Допускается не более пяти фонетических ошибок, в том числе одна-две ошибки, искажающие смысл”.

Ошибкой, искажающей смысл, считается:

Замена звука, которая приводит к изменению смысла слова. Например, live произносится с долгой гласной – leave, cut – как cart. Или put произносят с гласной “а” в середине, а science – с двумя согласными в начале.

Неправильная постановка пауз при чтении текста.

К простым фонетическим ошибкам относят:

Неправильное чтение предложений с перечислением (должно быть с восходящей интонацией)

Неправильная интонация утвердительных предложений (должна быть с нисходящим тоном)

Неправильная постановка логического ударения (оно должно падать на слова, несущие основной смысл в предложении – скорее всего, это существительное или глагол)

Неправильное произношение звуков, типичных для английского языка, подмена их произношения на русские звуки: [θ], [ð], [w], [h], [ŋ], [ɜ:]

Отсутствие «связующего r» (linking r) – то есть, озвучивание конечной r/re в позиции перед гласной, если с гласной начинается следующее слово (например, where is…, there are …)

Подготовка

На самом деле, получить за первое задание максимум – 1 балл – не представляет труда.

Как я тренирую чтение вслух с учениками:

Выбираю текст (беру тексты для чтения из учебников Solutions уровня Intermediate и Upper-Intermediate – они там озвучены), слушаем.

Общими силами разбираем непонятные места.

Ищем подходящий по размеру отрывок.

Просматриваем его и отмечаем смысловые паузы вертикальными черточками – | .

Подчеркиваем слова, несущие смысл (все служебные – артикли, предлоги, местоимения, вспомогательные глаголы – игнорируем).

Слушаем отрывок еще раз и повторяем за диктором, потом ученик читает сам.

Потом задаю на дом этот же алгоритм и слушаю ученика на уроке. Ниже пример разобранного таким макаром текста:

Про правила чтения, которым я уделяю внимание при подготовке, я уже писала в , и . Это статьи про ОГЭ, первое задание в обоих экзаменах очень похоже. Также по ссылкам вы найдете упражнения на изученные звуки.

• Тренируйтесь дома с диктофоном, прослушивайте себя и отмечайте ошибки. Так как на экзамене вы столкнетесь с шумовыми помехами в лице других студентов, которые начнут говорить вместе с вами и будут вас раздражать, советую еще при тренировке включать телевизор или радио для имитации этого самого раздражителя.
• Если вы не знаете, как читается слово (например, shallow) – вспоминайте, как читаются похожие слова (narrow) и читайте по аналогии. При подготовке настойчиво рекомендую произношение всех трудных слов сверять со словарем
• Делайте паузы на знаках препинания и выделяйте интонацией самостоятельные части речи
• Не торопитесь! 90 секунд вполне достаточно, чтобы в спокойном темпе прочитать весь текст
• Если вы поняли, что прочитали какое-то слово неправильно – перечитайте его правильно. Засчитан будет только последний вариант прочтения слова.
• Перед устной частью экзамена с утречка проговорите один вариант дома

Ech capsule contains 25 (twenty-five) people.
• I took this photo because it is a well-known landmark of London. From the very top of the London Eye we had a stunning view of this magnificent city. We saw the river Thames, the Houses of Parliament with its famous Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and other sites.
• As my friend has never been to London, I decided to show him this picture and to share all my impressions of this terrific flight with him.

Как видно из приведенных ответов, вам понадобятся не только знания языка, но, возможно, и жизненный опыт. В случае если такового не окажется, что мало вероятно, воспользуйтесь своими знаниями из других предметов, например, истории, географии, литературы или искусства.

Итак, подведем итог:

1) Время на выполнение этого задания весьма ограничено – 1.5 минуты на подготовку и 2 минуты на ответ. Во время подготовки у Вас НЕ будет возможности делать какие-либо записи и пометки. Отсюда вывод – крайне полезно заучить необходимые клише для беглости речи:

Уместными будут обороты There is.../There are… Хочу обратить внимание, что после оборота в ед. числе нужно употреблять неопределенный артикль “a” перед исчисляемыми существительными.

e. g. There is a ticket office near the Eiffel Tower.

2) Отвечая на вопрос плана “when you took the photo”, используйте Past Simple Tense (простое прошедшее время). Помните, что вы были фотографом , а поэтому (ну, конечно, если это не селфи) вам нужно описать людей на вашем фото (родственников, друзей, знакомых или незнакомых вам людей), а не себя любимого.

e. g. I took this photo two months ago when I went to Paris to study French.

3) Придерживайтесь заданной темы высказывания. Для этого внимательно ознакомьтесь с заданием. Например: Imagine that you are preparing a presentation about London (Russia) или Imagine that you are preparing a school newspaper about Art.

4) Отвечая на вопрос плана “what/who is in the photo”, постарайтесь описать не только внешний вид человека, но и, предположительно, его настроение (грустный – sad, счастливый – happy, серьезный – serious, злой – angry). Обратите внимание на погодные условия на фото (солнечный – sunny, жаркий – hot, теплый – warm, пасмурный – gloomy , дождливый – rainy, холодный – cold, морозный – frosty день). Назовите время года (месяц), когда вы сделали снимок.

5) Как видно вопрос What is happening in the picture? стоит в Present Progressive Tense, поэтому при описании происходящих событий на фотографии, используйте также глаголы в форме настоящего длительного времени, подкрепляя свой ответ фразой At this particular moment… (именно в этот момент…). Так же вы можете продолжить свое повествование в Past Simple Tense.

6) Продумайте несколько вариантов ответов на вопрос “why you took this photo”: I took this photo to remember the best moments and places of my journey. / I think this picture will remind me about my new foreign friends I met during my visit to Scotland (Italy, Egypt etc) and wonderful days we spent together.

7) Помните, ваше описание не должно быть слишком детальным, потому что вы можете не уложиться в отведенное для ответа время. В процессе подготовки записывайте свои ответы, а затем проговаривайте их, используя таймер. Таким образом, вы сформируете чувство времени, которое вам необходимо для ответа на задание 3 устной части ЕГЭ по английскому языку.

They have a long neck and short stout legs with webbed feet. The tail is short and square. They have pale plumage with some grey feathers on the wings.
• On the left of the picture there is a pond where the birds can swim. The zoo keeper told us a lot of interesting things about pelicans. She explained us that some species could make their nests in the trees while the others nest on the ground. It was interesting to know that they can fly but cannot dive because of their light skeleton. I also learnt that pelicans live up to 25 years in the wild and up to 40 years in captivity. Основные ошибки, которые допускают учащиеся при выполнении этого задания:

• описание трех картинок вместо одной;
• неправильная интерпретация содержания картинки;

Задание 4 представляет собой монолог-сравнение двух фотографий или картинок.

Чтобы успешно выполнить это задание, нужно придерживаться предложенного плана:

Cледующие советы помогут вам составить логичное описание фотографий или картинок:

Let me start with the first picture which shows a little girl who is in the gym at the moment. The girl is going to play table tennis because she is carrying a red tennis racket in her hand. As we can see the gym is well equipped. In the middle of the gym there is a big blue table with a tennis net on it. In the background of the picture you can see some sports facilities such as flying rings, a gymstick, a rope, a hoop and others. All in all, it seems to me that the gym is quite large and light.

As for the second picture it shows a young man running in the field. It might be summer time because he is wearing a green t-shirt, black shorts and white sports shoes. Also, he is wearing a watch on his wrist for timing his heats. Though the sky is blue and the weather is warm and sunny you can see two mountain peaks covered with snow in the background of the picture.

As I"ve already mentioned both pictures are connected with doing sports. You can"t but agree with me that both - a girl and a young man look fit and healthy.

Obviously, we can see certain (some) differences. The first picture shows a little girl whose hobby is playing tennis. On the contrary, the man in the second picture is a professional sportsman as he looks very sporty and strong. Besides, the first picture shows the girl who is playing tennis indoors while the young man is going in for sports in the open air . Moreover, table tennis is a team game and you need at least one more person to play it with. As to the track-and- field athletics, you can do it on your own.

As for me, I"d prefer to take up to table tennis because I am fond of doing sports with my best friends or relatives. Secondly , this game develops quick thinking and reaction. Finally , you can do it outdoors as well as indoors and bad weather cannot spoil the pleasure.

In conclusion, I would like to say that both pictures make me think that sport is a great way to spend your free time and, of course, it is useful for your health.

I believe that the theme which relates these photos is a life style of the youth.

Let me start with the first picture that shows a group of young people who are at work now. The man on the right and a young woman in a black suit are sitting around the table while the woman in a beautiful white suit is standing at the moment. Unfortunately, I can’t see the face of their boss who is giving them some instructions. They are listening to him very attentively. It looks as if they are ready to make some notes because you can see pads (notebooks) in front of them.

As for the second picture I have the impression that the group of young people is enjoying their free time sitting on the grass. I can only guess that they might be co-students at the international language school because you can see them carrying their workbooks. They are probably having their break time now. As the weather is warm and sunny, they decided to spend it in the school yard. They all are smiling and look very happy so I think they did their test successfully.

I should say that the only similarity between picture 1 and picture 2 is that they depict young people who are practically of the same age.

One of the main differences between pictures is that in the left picture you can see two men and two women (four people) working in the office, whereas in the right picture there are two girls and a boy who are having a rest in the open air. The most obvious difference for me between these two pictures is people’s clothes. For example, people in the first picture are wearing suits according to the dress code of their firm, while people in the right picture are wearing casual clothes such as jeans, jumpers and trainers.

As for me, I would rather go to a language school because my dream is to speak English fluently. Moreover, it would be interesting to make some new friends from abroad.

To sum it up, I would like to say that to work or to study together with smart and intelligent people is always great pleasure.

Let me start with the first picture which shows a young girl who is performing on the stage at the moment. She is wearing a white blouse and a dark skirt. She is playing the grand piano together with a string orchestra. In the background of the picture there is a beautiful organ . In the foreground of the picture you can see a lot of spectators. That’s why I can say that music is not just her hobby but she is involved in it very seriously.

As for the second picture it also shows a young girl playing the piano. She looks very elegant in her black velvet dress. As you can see she is wearing glasses. In the background of the picture you can see a portrait of a famous composer. Unfortunately I’m not very good at classical music that’s why I don’t know his name. Under the portrait there is a basket of lovely roses, so I can only guess that it might be the anniversary of the composer.

As I have already mentioned the theme which relates both pictures is classical music . The most obvious similarity between photo 1 and photo 2 is the musical instrument the girls are playing and it is a piano. It is evident that the girls are practically of the same age. In my opinion, they might be very talented.

You can’t but agree with me that the main difference between picture 1 and picture 2 is that the girl in the first picture is performing in a big concert hall whereas the girl in the second picture is playing the piano in a small room.(It is probably the classroom in a local Art School.) Besides , the girls are wearing different items of clothes. Last but not least , in the first picture you can see a lot of audience while in the second picture we cannot see any listeners.

As for me, I would rather go to a big concert hall because I’ve always wanted to listen to the organ.

Summarizing, I may say that it is great to have a good ear for music and play a musical instrument because music always makes your life brighter. (23)

• отсутствие разговорных клише при сравнении картинок;
